Eeadric Salvage:
Anglo-Saxon noble who led a resistance against the
Normans in Shropshire 1067-70. He spent most of his
time drinking and hunting on the Long Mynd,
Stiperstones and Forest of Clun.
The “Wild Hunt”
An ancient myth in
Northern, Western and Central Europe; a phantom group
of huntsmen with horses and hounds in mad pursuit,
rides across the skies. The hunters, lost souls, and
those in their path will be kidnapped, taken to the
land of the dead and people's spirits can be pulled
away during their sleep, to join the Hunt.
Wild Edric still
haunts the Stretton Hills as a large black dog with
fiery Deborah
